Up today is Chinese, I think I'll skip the post run shower so everyone can suffer hahaha. I'm not sure I prepared enough for this, there were a lot of characters, and trying to memorize them in addition to words in English for the GRE, in addition to things in corrosion, reactor design, thermo, and Korean don't help. That said, I'm going to take it at 9 am just to get it over with. I know this is so overused, but FML.
Today's run started off real bad (yesterday night I had ice cream, Koronet's... post to come, and bagels with 'Dark Chocolate Dreams' pb from Peanut Butter & Co.). My shins hurt again, just the right one for some reason, even though I 'took it easy' and just held an 8:26 pace. This all happened around the 2 mile mark. Then I decided to man up and at least finish the 5k, so I started increasing the speed every lap. The unexpected happens... I somehow get to the 5k marker, my pain lessens (or I grow to ignore it) and bust out a 10k at a 7:53 pace. I'm not entirely sure how I managed that, since it means I ran about a 7:20 for the second 3 miles, but I can't complain. I'm still a bit pudgy, weighing in at 152 waking up and 148 post workout, but that's surprisingly good given the stuff I ate last night lol. Anyway, I should study some more.
Oh, and congrats to Columbia's lightweight freshman crew :) on winning the petite finals. You'll crush 'em at IRAs... I have faith.
